Boys Development Competition– 10/06/18
On Sunday 10th June, Worcester Gymnastics Academy hosted a very friendly competition aimed at young boys who are likely to compete in the regional men’s artistic grades competition towards the end of the year. Idsall entered Tom in the Beginners 2010 category where he competed for the first time on six pieces of apparatus, these being floor, pommel, rings, vault, parallel bars and shiny bar.
Tom put on very confident performances showing fantastic artistry in his routines that made him stand out against the competition. Check out these great snaps!
Some notable performances for Tom were his rings and shiny bar routines. These were the best he had ever performed highlighting Tom’s ability to flourish in the competition atmosphere. Tom has definitely been listening in sessions down to the smallest detail like holding present with a lifted chin and a smile, making him come across very confident. Overall Tom placed first which is a fantastic achievement.
Thanks to Worcester GA for hosting a very friendly and smooth- running competition

Set Floor and Vault – 11/03/18
Well done to Charlie and Tom who both competed in the beginner 9 and under boys category at the George Finney Set Floor and Vault competition on Sunday 11th March.
The boys competed first on floor. I was very impressed with Charlie’s routine, he performed it the best I had seen him do it, while Tom amazed the floor judge putting on a show of excellence that gave him a huge score of 9.65

Charlie had been very focused on achieving his straddle over vault in the run up to this competition and his hard work paid off when he competed two fantastic vaults on the day. Tom showed his consistency by sticking two solid squat through vaults which again scored highly.
Overall Tom placed second in his category which reflected the precision and perfection he aims for when practising routines in sessions.Charlie and Tom represented the club excellently both on and off the competition floor.
